If you receive an eBook or PDF through Messages, transferring that file to your Books app is straightforward, though the steps differ slightly depending on the device. Before you begin, ensure that Apple Books is installed on your device.
You can download it for free from the App Store. To import an ePub or PDF into Books on an iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:
1. Open Messages and tap the message containing the file you want to import.
2. Tap the file to open it in a new window. 3.
Tap the Share button located in the lower left corner. 4. Scroll to find and tap the Books icon in the second bar.
Your file will then be added to your Books library and will sync across all Apple devices, provided you have iCloud sync enabled. If you prefer importing files directly to a Mac, here’s how:
