Second Beta of iOS 18.6 Released on June 30, 2025: What You Need to Know

Apple has initiated the second round of betas for its current-generation operating systems, providing new builds for iOS 18.6, iPadOS 18.6, macOS 15.6, watchOS 11.6, tvOS 18.6, and visionOS 2.6. These updates are now available for developers to test.

Specifically, the latest developer betas for iOS and iPadOS 18.6 have the build number 22G5064d, replacing the previous version 22G5054d. For macOS 15.6, the new build is 24G5065c, updated from 24G5054d.

The tvOS 18.6 has a new build number of 22M5065b, while watchOS 11.6 updates to 22U5065c, replacing 22U5054b. Lastly, the new visionOS 2.6 build is 22O5764b, which succeeds 22O5754c.

This beta testing track coincides with Apple’s milestone update, which is also testing iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26. The current developer betas are expected to contain minimal content, as the main emphasis is on newly introduced features anticipated in the fall software releases.

However, typical performance and security enhancements are likely to be included as well. It is essential for users to heed the advice from Apple and *AppleInsider* not to install beta operating systems on devices that are critical for daily use.

The risks associated with bugs and potential data loss are significant. Testers are encouraged to utilize secondary devices for installation and ensure they have robust backups of their data.
